I Got a DVR!!!!

I just activated my DVR. I love it. I can't record shows yet because my phone line is screwed up but that will be fixed on Monday. I got an R10 from Wal-Mart. I am very pleased. I will be more pleased when I am able to record.

Agreed. Its just stupid. At least activate the USB ports and let us use usb/ethernet adapters for this call in bologna

Does the DirecTV DVR require a phone connection just to be able to record shows?

I assume he means he received it, but since he has no phone line, he can't perform the initial setup.

I have the phone company coming on Monday to fix my line. I can pause, rewind and fast-forward live tv. I just can't record tv until the phone line is in.
