I plan on spraying my 1.2 channel master with Aluthane primer then a flat topcoat. Aluthane has aluminum in it. Google aluthane, lots of info out there on it.
Tom, that looks like one I have in my yard. It's a 10' fiberglass, bought it new for $3200 in it's day. That's been awhile. It originally had 2 hand cranks, one for elevation and one to move the dish from sat to sat. The feedhorn was driven by a rotor to change the polarity, hence the funny looking feedhorn assembly? I still use mine with my 4dtv 922 and it gets good reception on both C and Ku. I don't know who made the dish, but the Receiver and LNA and Block Downconverter were made by Drake. I can't tell from your pictures, but the pole set-up looks like mine. Only, yours appears to go into the ground, where mine is welded to a cross fixture and bolted to a concrete slab.

Yes maybe at this point it may be an off topic since I still haven't heard from the owner yet! Very anxious to get this and feel my hands are tied! No use in thinking of getting the dish off the pole and re painting yet till I get the Go Ahead! Even though it would be nice to plan ahead! Thanks for the link, a good read. Looks like the stuff is about $30 a quart. Still up in the air if I will actually do this or not. Seems as though my 1.2 primestar/channel master has mesh in the topcoat of the glass and on the very surface is a bumpy surface which under the paint appears to be aluminium. Getting off topic here so will close with that. Thanks again for the link.
I went out and took some pictures of mine for you Tom, but my camera is an old Mavica with 3-1/2" floppy, and my computer is acting up. It was downloading from the floppy and when it finished I clicked on a picture and it painted about 2/3rds of it and stopped. A message Pop-Up said the disc wasn't formatted, and asked if I wanted it formatted? I didn't want to lose the images so I took the floppy out and stuck it back in. Now a Pop-Up is telling me to insert a floppy, it don't see it at all? Later, I'll get a fresh 3-1/2" floppy and re-format it before hand and take some more pictures and see if it will then work? I think it's my computer acting up, I've been through this before. Just can't remember what I did to fix it. I think it just started working again back then? I could get my older computer from the bedroom or buy a long enough Cat5 cable and use it, but I don't really want to do that?
Tom,
I looked at the dish my grandma has that is like the one your wanting to get. and it doesnt have a name on it, Im not sure what the name of it is? does anyone else know what type it may be?
Not a Bad Idea...! But really, there's nothing wrong with the Camera, it's Great..!!Then get new camera .
I bought me a 25' Cat5 cable to get to the older computer in the bedroom, and thought I'd try the floppy again, and presto:I think it's my computer acting up, I've been through this before. Just can't remember what I did to fix it. I think it just started working again back then? I have a Mavica as well, the floppy drive has gone bad on the camera and caused the same issues you are talking about. I now use the memory stick that mine can use. Great camera - just lousy floppy drive.I went out and took some pictures of mine for you Tom, but my camera is an old Mavica with 3-1/2" floppy, and my computer is acting up. Hey VoomVoom,Back to the Bud, Tom as you can see in the 2nd row middle picture and also in the next picture, I still have the Tenna-Rotor that came with the dish. Of course I haven't used it in years.
