I can't get my dish to turn past 55w.... any idea's why?

What motor? I have the digipower sg2100, and am told it will do 70 degrees each way.

You should be able to get way over to around -30w from Kansas City!

But you may HAVE to use DiSEqC 1.2 to get there and a LIVE transponder, thats what I have to do!

Can you get around 70º in the oposite direction from true south (W)?

I can get from 30W to 148W in MN just fine

Have you tried 1.2 yet? I will try on mine in a bit....recevier is tied up scanning now.

Here in Mid-Missouri, near Columbia, I can get USALS to go from 33w to 148 easy... Had to use 1.2 to go from 33w to get to 30w.

Make sure your lat/long settings are all set up correctly, and that you've tweaked to get the arc in as good as you can... sometimes if ends of the arc are off, it has to do with the motor not tracking right, sometimes that can be due to pole not being plumb.
