Hello all,
I live in South Dakota, I got a 31 inch dish with a Megasat receiver, unfortunately I can't aim my dish to Galaxey 25. I do not have a satellite finder so I am counting on my receiver's signal level indicator. I tried getting Galaxey 3c also I failed. How can I test if my LNB is working or not?? Any tips?

From here it looks like the LNB is OK! Welcome to Satallite Guys!!

OK, so few problems are a bad LNB that I would say it is ok to begin with. Unless it is really OLD - and I am 65! Get the settings for that satellite from one of the lists. Set the skew of the LNB. Set your dish elevation about 3 degrees below what the chart shows. Select a strong transponder from the list and tune your receiver to it. Very - very slowly scan your dish back from one side to other, watching the TV for a picture and a "Q" reading on the screen. If you do not find anything, raise the elevation about 1 degree and scan back. Repeat very slowly and if no signal, raise the elevation and repeat again. before you get to 10 degrees above the elevation markings you should have found the satellite. I have been able to find a satellite in a maximum of 20 minutes using this method. I hope this works for you.
