Hi guys,

Apparently 3W is receivable on ABS-3A (Americas beam) [Satbeams 8209]

11132,H,30000,3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK
11168,H,30000,3/4 DVB-S2 QPSK

Need clear LOS down at 4.7deg from my location to catch -- will test soon...

So far I can receive:

15W Telstar 12V (Pan American beam) [Satbeams 8364]

10975,V,6726,1/2 DVB-S (carrier only)
10983,H,45000,4/5 DVB-S2 QPSK2 (only radio ITC)
11733,H,45000,4/5 DVB-S2 QPSK2
11795,H,45000,4/5 DVB-S2 QPSK2 (5 TV ITC)
11857,H,45000,4/5 DVB-S2 QPSK2
11919,H,45000,4/5 DVB-S2 QPSK2

Anyone else able to catch anything lower than 15W on the Ku bands?

Yes there's one transponder on 12.5W Eutelsat. I think it's 11541V 4168 and scans in as AASP, if I remember correctly. I was able to get it only when we had intense cold weather (around -20 degrees Celsius). It's a Brazilian educational channel, but most of the time it was just a slide with a logo.

I am getting the same as you get on 15W. I can't go much further than 12.5W unless my neighbor agrees to move his house...

According to PortalEDS, 3W might have one channel that is temporarily FTA on 11168H

Here 15W can be received but haven't set up a separate dish for that in a while. Now that the weather is better, might set one up and do some DX'ing below 15W. Always lots of fun.

Thanks for the tip.

Confirmed... 12.5 W...@11deg up... AASP in SD/HD, but there was no programming when I checked it -- just black image, TP signal was also weak for me. 15W TPs come in much stronger!

Thanks for the info Brct203 ;)

yes that's also my experience. But in both cases the dish is aiming through trees, power lines and just above my neighbor's house, so i was not sure about what it would be like without those obstacles. On 15W i barely get a watchable picture, with occasional pixelation. On 12.5 on the few times I got a lock, it was mostly like what you got, scanned in but no pic, but a few times I got some slide in Portuguese (if I remember correctly), and I think once there was an actual program). I think I was only able to get a pic on the HD one

The lowest sat I was able to get was 15W @ 7 degrees elevation for me. I got 60%Q on all the 4 transponders beamed at NA
