Hey everyone, Ive got a Hughes directors pack receiver, and I just cancelled service with direct tv. Now i've brought the receiver over to my other residents, and I'm trying to pick up local channels on air with no luck.
I have rabbit ear antenna, going into the antenna input on the back of the hughes receiver, and then S-video output to the television. When i turn on the box, all it says is "searching for satilite signal. Since i have no dish at this location. I thought perhaps i could enjoy the digital local channels. The receiver isnt HD.
IS there any way to bypass the "searching for satilite signal" prompt. I've looked all throughout the menu, and there are no choices even for adding or scanning for local channels.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
