Had something strange happen with our system last night. We were watching a program on the LR HR24 that had been recorded on the BR HR24. Right in the middle of the program we got a message that the DVR could not be found on the network. Sure enough none of the BR programs showed on the list. I went back to the BR and all was well with that box - but it wouldn't show the programs on the LR DVR.

Finally did RBR on both boxes and all is well again. Anyone else see anything like that before?

I've had that happen from time to time also. But it always corrects itself after a while. Don't know why this happens, but since it always comes back, I don't concern myself about it. I also have the HR24 plus a H24.

We haven't had a show just drop in the middle but we do run into times that we cannot see our bedroom HR24 list on our front room HR24. This happens about once every four months. For us, an RBR in the bedroom resets things and we are good again. I'm really not sure why this happens.

Doesn't it connect with ip addresses? Maybe an occasional low signal causes it.

Yes, each device does have an IP address. Though in my configuration the IP addresses are assigned by my router, communication between the MRV devices (in my case 2 HR24 and 2 H24) is over SWM. I don't profess to be an expert on SWM (though I have a learned a lot from Satelliteguys :) ) - what would cause low signal on the SWM system? Would that be an indication there are other problems on the system?

Thanks!

The more boxes on any splitter will lower the signal to all. Maybe it's low enough at times to cause an issue.
