HR22 HD-DVR remote programming Pioneer 5.1 receiver

I have just gotten DirecTV installed with an HR22-100 HD-DVR. The picture is great so no DirecTV issues.

I have a Pioneer VSX-D412 (5.1 receiver using optical cable) and while I can get the code for the HR22 remote to turn the receiver off/on, I cannot get it to control the volume of the VSX-D412. Any links anyone would provide me with where to find the correct code would be outstanding. Any ideas, gang?

You have to enter the code for the receiver a second time to have it control the volume. I'll let those in the know give you the details. I use a Harmony remote, so haven't done this with a DirecTV remote.

All i know is that you need to enter the code again using a different set of buttons onf the remote. I seem to remember that the mute button is involved. Maybe the directions are on the receiver remote setup menu.

BTW, a search on this forum should find the info you need.
