OK, so the title line pretty much describes what happened.

Last night like most, I was prompted to do the update on all 3 HR22's. Which I did. Afterwords, the receivers rebooted and all was well. 20 hours later the remote does not work on 2 of my 3 receivers.

New Batts - no luck
The remote that works w/ receiver #3 does not work on either of the 2 fouled receivers.
My Slingbox IR transmitter does not work either.

Did a few soft resets, 1 hard reset, still nothing.

So, something in this recent update flamed out the IR eye? Is this possible?

Yes, the buttons on the face of both units work perfect.

Has anyone else had this issue??

Have you reset the remote to IR or checked to see if its been put in RF mode? Most of the time when a remote suddenly stops working, its because the receiver is in one mode and the receiver is in the other.

Yea, been on the phone with tech support. Went through the whole IR/RF thing, reprogrammed ect... Sorry - I should have included this in my initial post.

They want to send a guy out w/ 2 new DVR's

I really wanna avoid that if I can.

Sitting around the house for 6 hours waiting for Bubba just doesn't appeal. Not to mention the time off work.

Bizarre that it hit two machines at once.

Only thing I can think of is that I've seen a surge through the phone line take out the IR board. You might have gotten a little zap that hit two of your boxes but not the third.
