No turn native on. Then in the guide just select all hd channels and this only show the listing for the hd channels

is there a way to have the HD Guide come up 1st ?
also can I take the HD Guide somehow and add it AUTO to Favorites CUSTOM 1 or I have to do it Manual Yack?

You can set up your Custom channels to see anything you want, so YES that is an option.

Getting the HD Guide to come up first, was something thatmost of us original users wanted to get rid of, so we could see the guide right away with out going thru the Channel filters first. Now you want it the other way !!!

Wait, I THINK you CAN do that....

Ok found it. DFirst, you are using HR20 correct ?

Ok Go to Menu - Settings- Set up- Display- then Guide Shows : Highlight select Grid Guide first or Catagories first.
You want Catagiories first :)

But personally I turned Native off for that very reason.

Not sure if it's the H20 or my TV but it took forever any time I was switching resolutions, and that could be from 720p HD to 1080i HD as well, so only doing the HD channels may not help much.

But I've also never "surfed" since I got an interactive guide, either....

you need to know that native and tv resolution seem to work together. If you select native on and only have a tv resolution selected of 1080i then the hr20 will upconvert everthing thus in effect turning native off. So enable all resolutions the TV can handle.
