HR-54 receiver & 4k Genie mini client

How does the genie mini connect to the HR-54? Is the Genie connected to the SWM switch? Will I need to HDMI inputs on my AV receiver?

The Genie mini connects via a coax connection back to a splitter what comes off your SWiM switch or LNB. If you're asking about the audio connection, the C61K has both optical and coax digital audio outputs, the non 4K mini's that I checked have just coax digital outputs.

No, if you want to always run through your receiver just HDMI.
