How to stream .MOV files to R22 via Media Share?

I've got TVersity installed, but I'm still unable to get .mov files from my digicam to play on my R22 via Media Share. I can play .AVI files no problem - however there is a 5 second lag between the time I hear the movie playing and when I see the actual video on screen. I get a gray screen with audio only for about 5 seconds before the video kicks in.

Any ideas on either issue?

The DVRs only accept MPEG2 videos. Apparently Tversity will transcode AVI to this format but not MOV. You will need to convert the files to MPEG2 (preferably as a TS transport stream). I believe that MPEG Streamclip will do this.
