Start with about 1'' past the scalar.

What receiver do you have and what satellite are you trying to scan.
I remember, first when I started I had a coolsat and I aimed at that satellite and I got only 1 channel total.
I have a S10 now and I get a ton of channels.

In post #11 you stated that you use the same setup.
Did you replace the old scalar with the new one that came with your LNBF ?

Hi Johann,
This is an old thread. I long ago got rid of the Bsc621 as my satellite installation skills are zero.
I replaced it with the Chapparal corotor. I've got my fingers crossed as everything is working fine
at present. BUT, hurricane season is approaching. My procedure for that is to take pictures of every
wire connection and marking the actuator before removing it. Then remove the dish and haul it
to the garage. What a pain but absolutely necessary.
