Sorry to bring back an old thread but I just tried tuning in one of these dishes today. I finally got the signal in but had to use settings from 97W that I had programmed into my meter then moved it to the left slightly. That was a little difficult. Meter didn't read anything off of 95W.

I am wondering what the best parameters I can use to setup one of these Directv World dishes pointed at 95W in case I run into one of these in the future.

If you are trying to peak a world direct dish, your best bet is to aim at the 101 (18" dual lnb) using the 101lnb, peak that as best as you can, then change settings and attach your meter to the 95lnb. then "fine tune" from there. The 95 is a pain in the balls to get in, and the dbs are real high. I find it much more difficult and time consuming to peak a world direct dish than a kaku properly.

I tried to tune in with the lnb on the dish at 101 but my meter never did register anything on 95 when I connected that lnb back up. The only way I knew that I had a signal at 95 that I was close was when they guy told me that I did have a signal there and it went away. I realized that my meter was not registering at all on that satellite and that my meter parameters were off.

I have tuned in Slimlines without much if any trouble at all even without a meter.
