Hello Folks,

I was surfing around and found a posting at I-Hacked.Com that provides detailed pinout/plug diagram for making an XMDirect to PC interface cable allowing for PCR functionality. They show the finished product using TimeTrax software. They also state that the interface cable can be made for less than 15 bucks.

I thought that maybe you electronic minded DIY folks would be interested.

I find it interesting that in that $15 price they don't include the price of ordering and shipping the 8-pin cable and buying a 12 volt power supply. Most people aren't going to want to have to have a cable running into the computer case to get power from the internal supply. They don't even price buying the molex connector for their approach to getting power. I love that they say, "get it form somewhere." All they've done is say it costs less than $15 to buy a DB9 and hood at Radio Shack. This really isn't the equivalent of a mobile hybrid cable at all especially for the price they claimed. It's kind of like saying you can build a car by buying a key and a gas cap.
