How to improve wind resistance?

I have a 24" dish and lately when the wind blows, I get lots of hiccups in the signal. I wonder what is the best method of securing the dish more? It is mounted to a pole which is mounted to my house.

Any ideas? Can I drill small holes in the side of the dish and attach guy wires? Is that a bad idea? Any actual experience would be great.

If you are getting hiccups, check the screw at the bottom of the arm that holds the LNB. Mine was loose which it was causing it to experience pixelation during high winds. Also check all the other screws.

I used to install E* and D* and we use to use a ring around the pole and triangulate it to the roof or ground (depending on mount type). We used fairly heavey wire and turnbuckles to evenly tighten the wire. The pole must remain plumb. I think just about any satellite supply company sells the mounting rings. They come in halves that bolt together around the pole and have 3 holes for the guy wires.
