How to Add A Hopper

I think you're right. They'll just put in a 1000.2/1000.4 and call it a night, most likely. Upgrade fee will probably be reasonable, since judging by the age of your dish, you've probably been with Dish for quite some time now.

Yes, I am a long term customer in good standing. Have thought about Direct TV, but I end up sticking with Dish. Love their equipment. Got my first Hopper for 0 dollars, so hopefully I can get everything installed pretty reasonably for the new room. Just wish I didn't have to jump through the joey hoop just to get another hopper.

It's simple, just call a Retailer. No Joey required. It will cost $0-$15 for the Tech visit fee and $0-$50 for a second Hopper V1. Unless it involves something extraordinary, there should not be any additional fees to run any additional needed lines.

Do retailers honor the home protection plan 15 dollar tech visit fee though? I was thinking that's only if you go directly through Dish.

Dish tried to get me for $400. Please read.
