How much money do you spend yearly on your satellite TV?

You don't have DTV or Dish or cable either?
If I am correct, you don't get any national channels on FTA, which without the national channels I dubt there is much to see :(

I have cable but it is only 24 channels or so. Mostly locals with a few nationals like Disney channel for the kids. With the cable modem it is only $3 more a month so why not, it makes the kids happy to watch Disney in their rooms. Also the QAM HD networks are there and even my neighboring DMA's HD locals are there too. Plus I have OTA HD. The HTPC has over 1 gig of storage with a QAM and OTA tuner. Love the HTPC especially for cutting the commercials before I watch the program. We barely have enough time to keep up with the shows available on the HD locals. When I'm bored and want to watch something else, FTA has no issues filling that gap.

So basically I have too much to see as it is.

Maybe my answer isn't zero as I said. I spent $40 on some FTA equipment and $3 X 12 months for cable. $76 this year.

Ah ok.
Do you guys have a link of the channels you guys get on FTA?

Justifiable?

And I thought I needed help. I can't add that high. Between D*, E* and Fios about $4500 per year. Plus all the upgrades on equipment, no wonder I always feel broke. Maybe we shouldn't ask questions like this. If my wife ever did the math, well............She does question all the dishes hanging all over the place and why we need so many when the neighbors only have one. Trees, thank goodness for trees and have to work around them.

So whats the easy way to get all these channels? It looks like to me you need either a rotating dish with a bunch of LNBs.,Or about 30 different satellite dishes? I'd like to see a setup. What would it cost for the setup, and would I get every channel available?

How does 1 LNB get all the channels?

Where can the equipment be bought? Will someone install it for me or do I have to do it myself?

Come on over to the FTA section here at Satelliteguys.us. I'd have to rate it as the best LEGAL FTA forum on the net.

Check out the Gold Sponsors here for equipment.

Sometimes you can find someone to install it for you but what fun is that?

I will have to say FTA isn't for everyone... but it sure works for a bunch of us, just look at the size of the FTA forum here. I'm not much of a sports buff as I only follow my local college football team and thats it, but you'd fall out if you saw all the feeds you can find during the weekend. I've watched many of games you can't get on D* or E*. Even watched a live LSU game one time that wasn't televised anywhere!

WoW man, sounds like its cheap and convenient and you get bunch of sports networks too. Neat.
