Can we get back on topic?
This is about football on Thanksgiving
Does anyone else remember the 1980 Bears-Lions Thanksgiving Day game (I'm sure Paul and Jimbo do)?
The game went into overtime, Chicago won the coin toss, and the Bears David Williams returned the overtime kickoff about 95 yards to win the game.
I agree that it's more fun watching the Lions when they are competitive. The last several years the pro games have been pretty boring.
It also doesn't help that I'm looking forward to more competitive college games which are played the next day, and that I'm usually wanting to sleep because of the wine and tryptophan in my system.
Refresh my memory, when was that?
