I have a friend that runs a apartment complex with 117 rooms that are separated in rooms of 32, So he needs a setup of for each section of 1 dish per section but what type of switch setup can run 32 standard rcvr's non HD and no SWM?

3 WB 6 x 16s per group will get him started....but there is more to it than that. He needs to find an MDU contractor in his area for a design. At some point it is just easier to rig another dish.

since he mentions non HD its rather easy and can do off the top of my head 64 at once

4 2x16 switches
2 4 way high frequency splitters

put the splitters on the 2 outputs and then hook the outputs from one splitter to the 13v side on each of the multiswitch and then the outputs from the other splitter to the 18v side and there ya go
64 outputs :)

This is on the grounds the locals are on 101 so you only need one LNB....if they are elsewhere then it can get tricky

Iceberg,

I understood the 2 x 16s were on the "don't use anymore" list along with the 2 x 8s?

Got a Directv source?
