Once you start getting over 8... they may start to "question" if you are a business or something...

But they allow pretty much an unlimited number of receivers on an account.

that never happened to me with dtv they always respected my business, unlike dish i had 8 dish dvr's and i got audit all the time passed them all then severley downgrade service with dish

but yes that could potentialy happen i guess

What's an audit?

Well, in this context, it is when Dish Network (not directv), calls you up at home, and makes you read all the receiver IDs off of every receiver on your account, you are not allowed to put them on hold, put the phone down, etc, while getting audited.

I would have switched to Directv but they do not have dual tv outputs on their dual tuner DVR's but I use mine in single user mode anyways with Dish Network's 522/625 receivers. I guess the advantage with Directv in my case would be no additional outlet fees on the second tuner if I do not connect them up to a phone line.

Not to mention the fact ONE DVR fee for ALL DVR's on an account, w/out having to buy an "everything pak"... ;) ;)

YES, that is one of D*'s great things!

"Monthly service fee covers every DirecTV DVR in your home."

This quote is from the page that allows new customers to order a DVR free with rebate.

I have three DVRs and Total Choice Premier. The Total Choice Premier eliminates the initial DVR fee as well.

If you go back a few posts, we were talking about E* having the DVR fee per box, NOT D*.
(we ALREADY know D* doesn't charge for every DVR box - THAT was the whole point of this discussion... ;) ;) )

Does Dish charge DVR fee for each DVR receiver on the account?

Note he did NOT say anything about DirecTV when you went in & corrected Jhon69 - which you made sound like YOU had E* & hence why I asked about your prog package...
