How many channels on a spotbeam?

Does anyone know about how many channels can be put on a spot beam?

Dish has a new beam pointed to Hawaii from the 110 sat TP23 but I don't think they are showing anything yet.

We currently get our locals from the 119 sat spot beam.

I'm wondering if they might make some HD channels available.

it's the same as any TP

They usually set the limit to 12 SD channels

4 MPEG4 HD channels

so it depends how many tps are in the beam

if there are 2 tps in the beam then 24 sd channels, and so forth, get it?

"usually", but I've been seeing many w/13 SD channels - my "real" locals have 13 on our spotbeam.
