How long can I delay signing paper work?

I am having a new install here in a few days. I would like to know how long I can delay signing the paper work the installer will have, without p****** him off too much. Thanks.

Dont let the tech activate the equipment. Once it activates it activates the account and the 2 year agreement. the peice of paper is to sign off o nthe work that was done.
