How do you setup a VPN to a different US city and not a completely different country?

Can anyone recommend a website of which I can use my VPN and get different locals while using just a free trial? I just want to experiment and I don’t need it forever. I tried YouTube TV and canceled right away since it wouldn’t work, and my other Google email won’t let me use a free trial anymore due to me trying it a few years back. Locast doesn’t seem to work either. I just want to experiment and I don’t even need cloud DVR service.

I can attest that NordVPN also works with Locast. I don't know if there are any fake GPS apps for iPhones, but the one I use on my Android phone also works well with Locast and cuts out the extra data traffic used by the VPN servers.

Any VPN that allows you to "move" to a Locast DMA should work. I use Surfshark.

It works!!! I changed my browser on Mac. It doesn't work on Safari. I'll see what I need to do on my iPhone later.

Well I did everything I could to try to get the Locast app (as well as try multiple browsers) on my iPhone to work with my VPN, but somehow I don’t think it’s compatible. Maybe it works on Android like NYDutch said, but I don’t think it works on iPhone. Maybe it works on one newer than iPhone XS (even though it’s pretty new itself). But I’m satisfied that it at least works on my Mac.

Can't say for sure, but Locast proabaly uses iPhone's GPS, not your IP, to geo-locate you for their service. You'd need a jailbroken iPhone to override iPhone's GPS. On Android, I believe it's more simple. I don't think you need root access on Android, but it's been awhile since I've tried it.

Yep, no root access needed for Android phones, and according this website, not for iPhones either. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the info given though.

edisonprime if Locast won't work on your iPhone, you could always buy a cheap Android phone or tablet. Just use it as a WIFI-only device.

Apple tends to purge apps that attempt to circumvent the hardware GPS.

I looked up jailbreaking iPhones and it says it opens up the possibility for malware. I think I’m good with just watching other markets on my computer. I don’t want another phone or anything, and a lot of trying to do all this sounds a little complicated. I’m perfectly happy watching other markets on my Mac. I could always find a internet TV provider in the future that will just use an IP address, or whatever will happen in the future. Watching them at home is the main thing I want to do.

You can get a fire stick or fire tv..there are many vpn's that work on that

And you could cast the Mac signal to your TV of course, if that would be better for viewing.
