We have a Bud wired to the house and a Tracker III Plus positioner working. We have the LNB hooked to our CaptiveWorks classic receiver, Now, What setting do we use on the reciever and how to find FTA c-band sats......This is our first C-Band Project and we need some help figuring this all out.... I would greatly appreiate anyones help...................

Disconnect the coax for the moment unless you are sure it and/or the lnb is in good shape!
You dont want to take a chance damaging your rx if either is shorted.

Now, Welcome to C band!
First, if you are sure there is no problem with the coax/lnb you can skip a thorough inspection.
Has the system been used recently?
Presumably you do you still have the analog receiver?
How is your line of sight to the southern sky?
Any notable obstructions, trees,buildings,etc?
What is your familiarity with the FTA box?
Are you comfortable setting up satellite data in the menu for that?
What understanding do tou possess for the terminology?
Are you well enough versed to find the settings you will need to set?

continuing....
Have stand alone positioner, but may or may not have the original analog rx......hmmm. That would be the best way to see if the dish/lnb will work w/o chancing damage to your FTA box.
Give a rundown of where you are on the FTA receiver operation curve. It will be easier to advise if we know what you already know about FTA.
