Do I run a cable from each LNBF inside the house to a splitter/She already has a 311 receiver that is running to 2 TVs but has to watch the same program on both. She wants to swap out the 311 for a 322 .How do i install it properly? Thanks for the help.:up

I'm not aware of a Dish Pro Dual. Do you mean a DP Twin? If so, one cable from each output of the DP Twin runs to each tuner input on the 322. No is switch needed (it's in the Twin) and "separators" won't work with the DP series. Check this link for more information:

What thiggin2 said. I just want to add that you don't make it clear if you have 2 DP Duals or just one. If you only have one (119, I assume) run 2 cables to the 322. If you have two (119 and 110) then do as thiggin2 said.

It might be easier for you to switch out the DP twin for a DPP twin & a separator.
Just 1 line to the receiver where it is then split in to 2 feeds, no need to run a line all the way from the dish to the receiver.

And just a thought, you may be able to upgrade to a DVR, log into your account online->get dish->offers->best equipment offers & see if if you qualify for a DVR.

A dvr is the only way to go

Thank You for all your replies and help and will take all into consideration. This is for my aunt who would like to have the 322 to watch 2 different shows on 2 TVs instead of the same programming on 2 TVs.I have the new dish 1000 plus and a 211 but am considering switching to the DVR 622 but am waiting for the lawsuit to come to an end.

My bad !! (another brain f**rt!)

Yeah - I read that but I misinterpreted it:

"Since the term 'dual' was an established industry standard for a 1-satellite LNBF with 2 outputs, Dish came up with the name "Twin" for their new LNB/switch configuration."

I took that to apply to the whole DP/DPP series hence a DP Dual would not exist.

Here's the real irony of it all - I have a DP Dual on my D300! I didn't realize that until my error caused me to actually climb up and take a look. (Too many errata clogging-up my few remaining free brain cells these days...! Tks all for setting me straight.)
