I have a Dish 1000+ that picks up 110, 118.7, 119 and 129 and a DPP44 switch. I want to add a wing dish to pick up 61.5. I have a Dish Pro Plus Twin lnbf on the dish pointed at 61.5 which has an lnb in port. Can I connect the cable from the 129 lnbf on the 1000+ dish to the lnb in port and then connect a cable from port 1 to the DPP44 and receive both 61.5 and 129? Thanks in advance from a learning DIYer!

no the dpp 44 switch only allows 4 satellites at once. You could take a dp 21 and connect out 1 on the dp 44 to in 1 on the dp 21 and connect 61.5 to in 2 on the dp 21, this setup will allow 5 satellites on 1 ird. But you will only get 5 satellites only on 1 receiver..

What would be the point of picking up 5 birds? Either settle for the 129 or 61.5. At least then you won't lose the "DPP" abilities if you do chose to go the route of DP21 after DPP44.

Don't know if anyone's tried it yet but I can confirm a ViP622 works great with a couple DP21's and a DPP44. I'm getting 119, 110, 129, 118, 61.5.

Yep, I did this for a friend of mine and he's been fine with the that setup. He had 119, 110, 129, 148, and 61.5. He had to remove it because he needed a port back on his DPP44 switch. That's the only drawback that you need two ports on the DPP44.
