Thanks. The dimensions gives me something to go from. The bushing length should be should be controlled by the length of the shoulder on the bolt that passes through the bushing, minus the thickness of the back frame. I think.
Anyway there is enough lengthwise, of the old bushing to get close. The diameter is what had rusted away.

Assembled the mount today, went pretty well. Took a little tweaking with the 3 pound hammer, but its pretty straight and ready for the dish. I bought too long bolts for the sleeve to pole setscrews, next time I go to the hardware I will get some smaller ones...

Always interesting to see how mounts were designed.
Lots of creative ideas by all the guys, over the years.
Since the de-rusting and nice paint job, it's much easier to see how things work, too.

I kept jumping between yours and Linuxman's similar model.
His has some pre-decliination built into the frame.
Yours doesn't ; it has longer brackets between the frame and the dish, as I recall.
Will that give you any trouble setting the initial declination?
None of the pix really show how it's fine-tuned.
I suppose it's obvious with the right view, though. :up

Nice job.!. Anxious to see the next phase. ! .
 
A different mount, alright! I like that paint Stogie, you missed your calling. John Deere green, like that country song too, hehe.
 
Tuesday I finally got it on the mount....and finally got around to taking a couple pics this morning while it was cool(er).

Thanks to everyone for the kudos on the paint job. It wasn't planned, I just used what paint I had already on the shelf. The almost empty spray cans painted the smaller parts, the larger cans the larger parts......:D

Well its operational. put the feed legs on yesterday, and slapped a C/K-1 in the scalar, its a little crooked and a little not centered, but just for finding the arc it went fine. Its at least the equal of my 12' Paraclipse, and that tells you how bad the shape of my Paraclipse is....:D

The little Venture actuator I have just doesn't have the muscle to pull it up the arc from 137w though, it stalls out. I have the original saginaw actuator though, I will be looking into it very soon.

I looked at the old Thompson-Saginaw actuator today. it actually runs with a battery charger, but is so old it has a potentiometer...anyone know anything about converting it?

I made a switch box out of a storage box from WalMart, screwed it to the wall, put a piece of plywood in it to mount the switches to, and "wala"!

As for the pot in the jack . . .
Back in the old days, they had 10-turn pots for serious adjustments.
I can't tell if that's one or not. Right manufacturer.
edit: if it's 1/4 inch thick, it's 270 degrees; if it's more than an inch long, it's 5 or 10 turns

If you can pull those three screws and pop out the plastic deck with the pot 'n gears, maybe we can think of something.
Be careful, that plastic may be brittle after all the decades.

I'm not real familiar with jacks, so more pictures from different angles would help.
'Cause it looks as simple as dirt, compared to the pictures I've seen of other units.
Say, was there ever a pulse conversion kit offered for it? Might be something to Google.
