Intelsat has filed a request with the FCC to move Horizons 2 to 85° East (Middle East).
Pending FCC approval, they will move all traffic to other satellites and begin relocation in December 2011.

interesting.....but the only thing I ever see on it is sports feeds on Saturdays...and they can move elsewhere

There are news back hauls on it almost every evening. Even had Amanda Knox coverage from Seattle yesterday eve. I scan this one, as well as 85w all the time.
