Hopper Wish List - What to change

On the subject of all the VIP features, I also miss the skip forward or backward 24 hours when in the guide view.

The fast forward and rewind buttons jump 24 hours either way, with the skip forward/back providing a three hour jump.

I'd like to see the return of the "watch on tv" option when using the Dish app. This was a choice with the 722 and 922 but is not available when using a Hopper. When bringing up a show from the guide on the app, if you choose watch, your only choices are watch on iPhone or cancel. With a 922 or 722, the choices were watch on iPhone, watch on tv and cancel. Not sure why this was removed for the Hopper, but I really miss this.

I miss this as well, we would usually use our iPads to view the tv guide then select watch on tv

When in the DAILY Schedule listing when you restore or skip an event IT NEEDS TO STAY ON THE DAY YOU ARE MAKING THE CHANGE IN & NOT RETURN TO THE BEGINNING OF THE LIST

And put back the "Next Day" button that I used to have on the 622 instead of making me scroll down through hundreds of lines with page down on the remote.

Guide Tweaks

Give me the option to change the way the guide is displayed... whole screen option, smaller/bigger fonts and how about transparency? - so the current show is running behind, instead of in a little box that I'd like to remove...

I liked the option on my 722 where I could have a guide without live TV being displayed. If I'm looking to see what else is on I don't need to see what is currently on!
That said, I'm all for displaying more information in the guide. I do like the design which has a preview panel showing more information about the selected item. Having the panel on the side instead of on the top allows more information to be displayed in the preview while allowing more rows of channels to be displayed in the freed up space.

It would be nice if the Hopper didn't still have the ridiculously low timer/event limits.

I did a search and found this:
1) How many timers/events are allowed with a hopper? Same as the VIP, with 96 timers and 576 events

Are you finding that 96 timers along with PTAT isn't enough? Even with my 722 I only had ~50 timers.

I think it's the events limit that gets most people, especially if they have kids that record multiple episodes of kiddie shows.

-The ability in Search to trigger reminders for shows you searched for, and didn't find originally, when they finally do show up on the guide

It already has what used to be called DishPass. It's now called Seek & Record. Go into Search, type what you want to search for, then select the Seek & Record button. It'll open a dialog that should be intuitive. One caveat though, you can't yet edit Seek & Record timers. A few weeks ago DIRT member MattG indicated that editing them is coming in a future release.

Thanks for the clarification.

I, for one had 87, but often came very close to the 96 timer limit. I sympathize with the poster to whom you replied. Each house hold is different. I know some who have a total of 12 timers.
