Super joeys are only allowed on single hopper accounts, and only one SJ on the account.

Out of contract with first gen hopper. Ready to leave dish, latest software is a hot mess, getting horrible remote and system lag. Every time I go to guide the live channel starts to panic and picture and sound start crackling/popping. Let me know options. Is there going to be a 3rd gen hopper soon?

Haven't noticed lag recently in the HWS. It does have a faster processor than the H2K. Possibly your issue... But I didn't have that issue prior to upgrading to my second HWS either. Had the H2K from release up til about 2-3 weeks ago.
