I would like to hear from a DIRT rep.....

For crying out loud, for years they have had free installs for new customers, you probably got one when you started (unless along time ago). Upgrades usually cost something and what they are offering to bette rthan "C" customers is pretty reasonable.

but I can get a free install from DirectTV or Cox; and discounted service for up to two years.

And if you enjoy switching providers and equipment every 2 years you are more than welcome to do that. Look, you are just like every other existing customer and the way the satellite companys have chosen to handle upgrades is to charge for it. I have to hear people complain about this every day and it gets old. I know it may not seem fair but those are their business rules and Dish is not the only company that goes by those rules.

You're options are pay the $200 to upgrade, switch to a different provider or wait for Dish to change their upgrade policies. I wouldn't hold your breath on the upgrade policies though.

If you think those options are equivalent to Dish and you'll be happy, go for it and all the best to you.

Since the DIRT members have so much free time on their hands ;) . I would like a PM about upgrading from my 722 and the 2 other receivers (I don't know what their numbers are) to a 1H + 2J system. I am on auto pay, never late on payments, have the Americas Everything pack with all the movie channels, decent credit (mid 700s), but I was still quoted $400 and that is just out of my budget right now no matter how badly I want the Hopper. PLease help! I really want to love Dish network :D

Mary wasn't able to resolve my concern because of the time limit on my account, but she was very helpful and informative. Thanks Mary!

Need Help scheduling an upgrade from 3xVIP722, 1xVIP612 and 1x510 to 2xHoppers and 6xJoeys. Talked to MattG last week who said that he'd have someone call, but have received no followup and MattG seems to have fallen off the face of the earth (I've sent him a few PMs since). This is now urgent as the hard drive on one of the VIP722's failed last Friday and I am off work this week. All Wiring is Hopper/Joey ready. DIRT Team please help. (I would also like to know how much this is going to cost)

Thanks, Jim H.

Guess I'm going to chat with a CSR then .... my upgrade is on Thursday and i'm having issues with my account again, 1) wasn't billed for the upgrade, 2) my bill came in someone elses name. I sent a PM off to Zach but I didn't realize they were still backlogged.

I'm in the same situation - need 2H 6J. The typical limit through normal CS and DIRT is 2H 4J or less. DIRT will refer you to an "account specialist" for more hardware than normal. It can be done, but it's not routine. I, too, have been waiting for a call since Saturday. And by the way @MattG is on tonight - I just had a few PMs with him. I imagine they are REALLY busy.
