2 hoppers / 4 Joeys -- showing my future setup because answer may vary when integration of Hoppers come onto effect. (1) Joey 3 & Joey 4 are watching the same program on tuner 3. The other tuners are recording are busy with other live feeds to other H/J's. Their sharing tuner 3, if Joey 4 decides to pause the live feed, will it be paused on Joey 3. (2) If user of Joey 4 goes to Joey 1 and picks up the paused feed , will Joey 1 & 3 watch the same feed on tuner 3 at different time intervals. I will have 5 users, 3 teenagers and lots if pausing & recording going on.

Interesting to see if they set up multiple, independent pointers for each H & J for each tuner/recorded program.

It does have its challenges, but if I were designing the software that is how I would do this. In a dual hopper setup you could even mirror timer and pointer data between the hoppers so you don't lose that data if you lose a hopper. Then you'd only lose the unique data on the drive of the failed hopper.

But what if you want to pause, go to another room and resume at the same point? Interesting to find how Dish is implementing this.
