Hopper S221 Feedback

Went to broadband setup, it first showed red and then after a few seconds everything was green. Moca and blue button presses no longer show a bridging option - maybe it's automatic now?

Yes it does. Did you press the blu button twice?

Why is it you have to have the bridging enabled to see the second hopper but each time I get an upgrade mine says disabled? Yet I can still see and use both hoppers. But once I enable one I then have to enable the other one to get them to work. I believe it's a bug that shows both hoppers disabled when they really are

Cancelled by user fixed?

Both our hoppers had S221 this morning. After running tests on both it appears that the problem of recordings showing as cancelled by user has been fixed. The test for this was to schedule 3 programs then schedule another 3 on different channels immediately after the first recordings. Previously one of the second group would show cancelled by user and was not recorded. After setting up the test all 6 programs recorded!

This has been my main annoyance with the hopper - it couldn't always be trusted to record everything scheduled. For us, this makes the hopper pretty much live up to its promise. Thanks Dish - it looks fixed! :D

That is one of the first things I checked, still works here.

The bridging has nothing to do with seeing other Hoppers. It's for sharing your Internet connection (Ethernet/WiFi) with the rest of your receivers over the MoCA network. You're only supposed to enable bridging on the Hopper that is connected to the Internet via Ethernet or WiFi.

My folders have a white boarder. That was my first indication an update may have occurred. Someone post the release notes or link to them if you know them.

Still awaiting S221 on second Hopper. First Hopper and all four Joeys have updates (S221/271). So far so good. Was able up reconnect Internet access via HIC without issues seen previously.

Spoke too soon! Had to disconnect the HIC's Internet connect, because Joey started having problem finding its Hopper, again. Once Internet connection gone, system returned to being stable.

I noticed a minor change. When you press the Recall button, the last four channel icons are now centered in the lower banner, not offset to the right like they previously were.

Can someone check the :29 and :59 dropouts on live tv and new recordings please? I'm traveling and can't check it myself.

My Joey now seems to auto stretch to 16x9 any commercials which previously showed black bars on the sides. Nice touch.

I will say that my Joey had been flaking out after sitting for awhile unused. When you turn it and the tv on the screen is pink and OT almost looks like an old tube tv tuned to static. Unplugging the hdmi cable does not force a handshake on the hdmi and I either have to power button reset or unplug the Joey for the picture to look normal. Like I said its usually after sitting for awhile like first thing in the morning or right when going to bed.

Hopper auto changed too Normal on HD channels and SD channels.. Now some HD channels got black bars on the side of them weird.. Now some HD channels looks weird and SD channels looks ok on my HDTV..

I am also having connectivity issues. I have a good broadband connection and the apps work, but no on demand. It will flash to a black screen with little window, then back to the channel. RBR fixes the problem. This happened yesterday and again today it required a reset.

My Joey had the weird pink screen static again this morning. Not sure what changed but it seems that after it sits for awhile it takes a reset button reboot or a power reboot to get the HDMI connection to my TV back normal.
