"Hopper DVR upgrade for Android UI" Could they be considering using Android on the Hopper box?
Glad to see they are potentially continuing to roll with the Android side rather than the Fruity stuff. 
If the rumor was no new hoppers, and hopper plus is the lowest model number, and the description is "Hopper DVR upgrade for Android UI", are we talking something like a Hopper Snap that upgrades any hopper to an Android based system?
And then immediately turned into a thread here:

Zatznotfunny has reported FCC filings for new Joeys and possibly 2 new Hoppers….a Hopper Plus and an unnamed Hopper. Unfortunately, other than the existence of such coming hardware, no other details are given. Hmmmm, maybe our resident Dish gurus have more details they can share?

Either that, or something that connects to any Android based TV box, to turn it into a Hopper DVR for recording streaming.
I'm now thinking these new accessories are all about the Android engine/UI and accessing content via public internet. I am almost certain Dish would provide a SlingTV app in the accessory. It's as if Dish continues to try to accept the streaming reality by having their satellite service support and dovetail such access to streaming content on Dish equipment that can also allow one to get the best of both Dish and SlingTV?
