Hopper not hopping

Just got dish installed in my house...but the last few nights some recordings starting on Sunday would be time to record and the channel...after hitting the red button...will say lost signal and not record...

Red reset numerous amounts of time will eventually get it to work...the hopper upstairs. ..same channel comes in just fine no signal loss

Anyone else had this and why is it doing this??? New software glitch???

70-80 for 110 and 119 and for 129 48-55 range...

Ill check for sure when I get home but last night those were my #s

Yah, means your third tuner isn't working. Either a problem with the cabling between the Hopper and the node, or a missing/broken node, or possibly a connection issue between the dish and the node. Do you have one Hopper?

I believe the third tuner operates at the highest frequency so If you don't have proper rated cable that may be your issue.

Just got it installed last thursday...have 2 hoppers...turned it on tonight and got a 11-12-11 code??? Tells me if problem continues to push red reset

Yeah. Do you have access to your node by any chance? Are there three feeds going into the top of the node (the side with 3 ports?)

Leaning toward bad node or bad cable/connection between Hopper and node. In rare cases bad receiver. Also, that unused CLIENT port needs a 75-ohm terminator.

I hope its not the receiver...0 problems w it until the new install

75 ohm terminator makes sure the MoCA signal doesn't leak from the unterminated port as well as keeping outside interference out of the system.

I don't think the tech will have too many problems fixing your issues, if they're competent.

Update: So there was signal at first but after a few things the tech did it came up 0 for the third tuner...so looks like its the hopper

Cant switch them out because I dont have an ehd and I have 67% recordings on thid receiver

Where is the best and cheapest haha place to get an ehd???
