I am fairly new to the Hopper Joey DVR system. Every once in awhile, my daughters Super Joey will shut down, then restart back up. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? I have taken the Super Joey off another electronic component, and also directly plugging the Super Joey into the wall. Should I do this for my other Joeys as well? I also have plugged my Hopper directly into the wall outlet, instead of a power strip. The two other Joeys are plugged into the power strips.

Is there a particular time of day this happens? Does it happen during certain functions?

Jackson, some power strips do limit power to the Joey and not provide enough power, whether it be old, a loose port, and or a power saving strip. This is not common, but can occur on some models. If you have plugged it directly into the wall and the issue still occurs and it is not on or directly near any other electronic devices. Please send me a PM if you need more help. If the issue stops when plugged directly into a wall, you can try a different power strip as a resolution if needed. The other Joeys unless having the same issue should be fine.

Abe, I have a new Joey paired with the Hopper w/Sling and my Joey just turns off. To get it to reboot, I have to unplug it from the wall. Any ideas here?

Yeah, have that replaced as well, if possible with a J3. Is this a refurbished J2?
