I have a 1 Hopper 2 Joey setup with 3 HDTVs. The Hopper is in the Bedroom, with joeys in the living and family rooms. My question while PTAT is going I can only watch unique TVs shows on 2 of the TVs. Is that normal, do I have something setup wrong. Do the Joeys share the tuners on the Hipper. Just a little confused.

thanks

Joeys don't have independent tuners. It's a whole home system that shares tuners from the main central hopper box which has three tuners. Since PTAT uses one tuner, there are two more tuners available for the three TVs in your household during those primetime hours.

If you need more tuners, the easy solution is to get another hopper and replace a joey so that you'll have six tuners to share (with only 1 tuner used up by PTAT during those primetime hours).

With PTAT active, all three receivers can watch different programs live, but at least one unit would have to watch one of the PTAT networks to do it. It is confusing until you get used to it. If you need three tuners other that the Big Four on PTAT, 2 Hoppers is definitely the way to go.
