Hopper/Joey buffer question

Hi,

My Dish service won't be installed until the second week of January, but I am still trying to learn as much as I can.

I have a question about how the buffer works.

If my buffer is full, but I want to record only the last 15 minutes, can I rewind to that point, and have it start from there, or will it record the whole contents of the buffer whether I want it or not?

When you press the record button it will record from tat moment to the end of the program. So you can rewind it to the point of the show you want and record it from there.

I believe the H/J system will only go back 1 hour or to the point you started on that particular channel.

It's 1 hour on VIP and Hopper and 2 hours on older SD DVRs I believe.
