Hopper Grounding ... Cheater Plug

Our Hopper Duo installed in December doesn't have a 3 prong plug. There is no ground pin on the cord.

I'm seeing that a lot even on high end audio gear. It's got me kinda worried. Ground Loops or now the lack there of? Where do these units get their ground? Especially for the phono input.

The two pronged plug is polarized itself, but that also requires you household wiring to be done correctly.

Circuit testers, especially GFCI capable ones, will help with that.

The requirement for the ground is mostly based on construction of the device. Metal chassis gets a ground and plastic chassis does not.
