To those receiving H3s, I assume the installation setup will simply hang at step one waiting for software download since there is no public software on the satellite yet. Someone will let us know soon.
I think you guys are too nice in trying to protect the retailer and the distributor. If they sent them out early before they were supposed to, it's on them. Go ahead and try to activate them. If they get into trouble it is their own fault.
I hope he doesn't intercept or recall the packages from ups. I have no problem having it on my shelf staring at it until dish gives the green light lol.Don't bite the hand that feeds you. If you have a company that gives you good deals, ships new product to you before anyone else and provides great service why would you want to get them in trouble?
There just isn't any sense in trying to activate a Hopper 3 if you receive one before it's officially released.
Wouldn't worry about that, I am sure it would cost much more than it would be worth. UPS isn't going to snatch all of those out of the delivery chain for nothing.I hope he doesn't intercept or recall the packages from ups. Haha that's what i thought.Wouldn't worry about that, I am sure it would cost much more than it would be worth. UPS isn't going to snatch all of those out of the delivery chain for nothing.
$12.90 per package if done via website or $18.70 if requested over the phone. I'm willing to bet that is "too much" for many retailers to want to eat.Wouldn't worry about that, I am sure it would cost much more than it would be worth. Probably not since I am hearing that there is no release (public) software on the satellite.
Excellent point - seems they simply can't get to the step of activating them in this case.To those receiving H3s, I assume the installation setup will simply hang at step one waiting for software download since there is no public software on the satellite yet. Someone will let us know soon.
I don't know what is so hard with patience nowadays.

I cannot imagine standing in line, camping out a week before a new iPhone goes on sale. What is the point?
I've been in that group, but only as an exercise in beating the system. Never had to wait in long lines.I put them in the same group of clowns who go shopping on Thanksgiving day and Black Friday morning. For some it's just fun and exciting.
