Hopper with Sling (S311) and a pair of Joeys. I am trying to use Home Media slideshow to play photos from Windows Media Player/Center on a Windows 7 64 bit desktop system. The photo library has many thousands of photos. It works for a few minutes then hangs on certain pictures in my collection and will not continue. The pictures it hangs on do not display, the little line of scrolling boxes ("working on it" indicator) just keep spinning. If I cancel the slideshow and navigate to the folder with the photo the thumbnail will not display and selecting the photo for display causes the same spinning indicators.

Seems like it has to be something in the flename (maybe some character hosing hopper), the image attributes in the file, or maybe the directory depth or filename size? Tried searching both in the forum and Google but found nothing that seemed related. Now trying some different filenames and moving things between folder levels to see if I can figure out the common read...

More info.

1. The offending JPG images display fine on my PC using Windows 7 photo viewer or WMP/WMC.

2. I have the same photos on my iPad where they display fine. So i tried to display them on Hopper using the iMediaShare app and experienced the same spinning indicators and failure to display as I got with WMP/WMC. The other JPG images I tried from my iPad displayed fine on Hopper. So clearly there is someting about these photos Hopper can't digest.

image.jpgHere is one of the offending photos.

And now, all of a sudden, all the images are working fine on Hopper including the ones that didn't before from both Win7 and my iPad.

Be on your way folks. Nothing to see here.
