hitting pause/play button causes it to skip ahead

Ive noticed when watching a dvr show that when i hit pause it actually skips ahead similar to hitting the skip ahead button. If i hit it again it will then pause.
Ive noticed that after actually holding down the skip ahead button to make it fast forward it will pause correctly. but if i ever skip ahead and then try to pause it will skip again.

This doesnt happen on ever dvr show but most of them.

Anyone dealt with this?

edit: i have the newest hopper and joey. The one with the annoying remote that clicks every time you press a button

It happens to me also. It is very random. The fast forward and reverse are even worse. Some times it skips ahead. Most of the time it jumps back to near the beginning of the program. I tend to use the skip forwards and reverse instead of the fast forward or reverse. Never happened to me before the hoppers.
