Anyone know why the hic is causing issues on some joeys not working properly?

I've been told, that the joeys may not show the BB connection, even if the hopper does. Just a stupid glitch those really smart guys with pocket protectors, who drink the expensive corporate coffee, forgot to address when they designed this thing. The on demand should still work fine on the Joey, even if it says not connected....

Actually, the coffee sucks at most corporate workplaces.
