hi all! i just got this c band sat dish and a president video cipher2 plus rec.

ps600xl vc2 t1 ku pol rec.

and i am new to this whole thing!!! i have no manual for it.but i have all of the cable with no marks on it an the dish is torn apart, but has no holes in the it.

i need to know how to set up a c band satlite system????

the cable i have has to cable ends!! and rec. has no remote control.
i was thinking about puting my dish on the roof!!
but right now i just need a walk though, on how to set it up.

i have setup rca sat's and diish network satelites! but this is way ing to me!!!!

any help would be good!

Forget the roof install, I would look for something better that the PS600, it is useless w/o remote

unless its absolutelly necessary (because of trees), I wouldnt installa C_band dish on a roof

How big is the dish? Its probably between 6-10 feet. Dont want a gust of wind to tear off your roof

'Berg's right, that baby should be on a 4 inch pole, 8 feet long with at least 4 feet in the ground resting on a house block to keep it from sinking, packed with concrete. Believe me, there is a lot of weight there! I have seen them on super long poles secured to the side of the house with the dish raised higher than the roof, but that makes it a pain in th a** to get to for maintenance.

Up by our lake house, I saw a C-band on the roof (trees around the premisis)

Looks like it was a 6' fixed dish with many braces to keep that bugger in place
