It would be his third team in the division110%. That is a dagger in the heart of a Denver fan. But then again, maybe Bowen deserves it for firing Shanahan.
There are plenty of teams Shanahan can go to, but the Chiefs?

If Shanahan takes the Chiefs job, Denver fans will regard him as a traitor forever.
This would be very Benedict Arnold-esque.
Not surprised.
A 2-14 record (and they were lucky to win twice- the Lions likely would have had some company) plus a pathetic defense will do that to you.
LOL! Yes it would!
That would be like Bill Cowher going to the Browns!

I have to disagree.
When Cowher left the Steelers, it was of his own volition. So if he goes to the Steelers archrival, I could understand some Steeler fans calling him a "traitor" (although a championship under Tomlin would certainly soften the blow).
However, with Shanahan, it's a totally different set of circumstances. He was fired from his job. Why shouldn't he be able to go where ever he wants to?
Afterall, loyalty works BOTH ways.

Weren't really lucky to win twice... you know like 7 of the Chiefs losses were by a TD or less right?
Win most of the close ones and the Chiefs win that horribly weak division.
Chiefs beat Denver and Oakland last year, that's a good season for me knowing we were going into it with the youngest roster in the NFL.
4 of the Lie-on's losses were of 7 pts or less and 1 more was 8 pts ....
8 of them were losses of 10 pt's or less.... that makes them good , right ?
No, but it makes comparing the Chiefs and Lions laughable, the Chiefs allowed 77 fewer points and outscored them by a handful of touchdowns. Of all the teams in the division I'm glad to be a fan of the Chiefs... Raiders are much worse than their record, with the best talent in the division, the Broncos had a historic collapse leading up to the playoffs, LT showed he can't carry his team as a broken back for back to back playoff appearances... the Chiefs went into the season young and expecting to do poorly and play very well in a lot of games.
+1 RaidersSo if someone asked a who looked better going into next year, I would say most would say the Raiders.

Not me.
Last year, I said the Raiders will finish above .500- I'm not falling for it again!
So you expect more from the Chiefs than the Raiders next season?

No- I'm picking BOTH teams to stink next year, unless they get a really good player in the draft.
right now to me the raiders are a better team but no one knows what the chiefs will do in free agency ,draft and coaches so we'll have to wait
