Here is my RAIDERS WINNING SCHEDULED

Wasnt Jamarcus Russell supposed to be the saviour? I believe I told Salsa in one of these threads the day after that draft that they should have drafted offensive linemen but he wouldnt listen. Hey Salsa! How'd that work out for ya?
They still need linemen but at least they did draft two good ones this year!

No Raider fan....including myself, thought he was gonna make us an instant Super Bowl contender...we thought we had our QB for many years to come. No worries because we no have a good, in his prime, QB that can throw the throws needed and shows leadership. We also have a backup that have as much guts, if no more than most linebackers in the NFL....AND can win and gets INSTANT respect in the huddle. The Raiders are in good hands at the QB position for a few years to come.;)

Oakland's Darrius Heyward-Bey caught only 23 percent of intended passes last year. That's the lowest rate of any receiver with at least 40 pass targets in the 17 years for which we have data, going back to 1993.

He is a completely different player from what I saw last season. He is bigger and just as fast. He is coming off the line well and has resolved MOST of the "dropsies" he had last year. He worked hard during the off season and it has paid off with much better practices and preseason.

You saw practices ?

MOST WR's have trouble the first year in the league and start to come around the second and third years.

I did not see practices. I went on reports from the papers that cover the Raiders. They were BRUTAL on DHB last year....and deservedly so. This year, he is a completely different player, as stated.

1st, the obvious...he is BIGGER than last year. He has gained approx. 25lbs of muscle that you can clearly see.

2ndly, you can tell he worked hard with the Raiders WR coach, Sanjay Lal, because he runs better, crisper routes. He had a horrible time getting off the line of scrimmage last year. He has also improved DRASTICALLY, the good ole desease of the "droppsies". He dropped very few balls in both practices(from what I read) and even less in the preseseason games(from what I saw). During the preseason games this year, when the 1st WR unit would come out...they had him stay with the 2nd and 3rd unit to get the extra work.

Finally, his confidence is through the roof. Not an arrogant confidence, but a confidence that he KNOWS he can play this game and play it well at this level.
