After your receiver is authorized, checkout 298 (the French SC channel). If you get both, then you have the proper dual satellite maps plus you have the proper dish skew. You can make fine dish alignment adjustments to peak signal levels then.

If you have a HD receiver checkout 288 to ensure that you are authorized for HD. Since SC does not charge extra for HD, they count # of HD subs by requiring the CSR to separately authorize HD.
