Inspired by "Adventures in Dishhunting and what we find" I have recently aquired
a Perfect 10 7 1/2 foot dish. The dish was in bad need of a few mesh panels, which I have replaced. My mesh was black and the dish is silver so im wanting to paint it so everything matches. Can i use regular flat black enamel? or is there something better?

Also I have to dig a whole for the pipe to set in. I want to make the concrete base large enough for a 10' dish. I have read the hole size needs to be 4 times the pipe size. so that would make the hole 14" across and I want to go 36" deep.
Does that sound right?

Thanks
Allen

depending on location for how much concrete to use
since i'm in the south and not alot of super hard freeze.
i'm in a low wind area and if the mount is low

so i plant mine 2' deep, twice as wide as the pole and design a plus trench 6" wide 6" deep and 1 1/2 ' long , gives it some stability. but use enough that you feel comfortable with the mount.

yeah any spray should be good. brush any rusty spots and welds and touch-up

Im in Missouri and i think the freeze dept is 28". I have a lot of wind. I know im good ont the 36" just not sure how big around to make it.
