Help with Hopper 3 and Sony VPL-HW45ES projector.

I got my new Sony projector installed today and have an issue. I connected a new HDMI cable from the Hopper directly to the Projector. There is no signal apparently.

I can plug the Hopper cable into my regular Sony TV and it works fine.

Is it not possible to send the Dish Hopper signal direct to the projector ??

Have you tried sending another HDMI signal to it, like a DVD player?

Maybe your projector is having an issue with the signal your Hopper is sending. Try this: go to Menu, Settings, TV, change Video Resolution to 480i. Do you get a picture there? If you do keep stepping it up until you don’t get a picture. You will probably need to do the steps connected to your Sony first then at each step change over to the projector. I’d do what KAB suggested first to see if a DVD player can work.
